At the spring training for Florida Presbyterian Pilgrimage (FLPP) in March,  several council members inquired the interest of Timothy D. Turner to be considered for nomination to the Council.
The nomination council chair formally announced a council email vote on Tuesday, April 11, 2017.  Turner officially begins his three-year term following Florida Presbyterian Pilgrimage #12 over the weekend of April 27-30, 2017 in Silver Springs, Florida.
In the morning of Wednesday, April 12, the following email was received by Maestro Timothy D. Turner.
Good Morning Timothy,

Welcome to the FLPP Council as Music Chair! You are officially appointed and approved by the FLPP Council for a 3 year term to expire in December 31, 2020.  We are thankful that you have answered the call.  We have a great time working all for His glory and are so happy you are a part of our team.

Looking forward to serving alongside of you for #12 and as you transition into the role as Music Chair.

Blessings,

~Dee~ Salmon

The following messages were sent following the announcement...
"Congratulations you will be fabulous!❤️" - Gail Auguston, FLPP Council Member, via email
"I am so pleased you have agreed to serve as music chair for FLPP!! I know you will do a wonderful job and the music is in good hands." -  Carolyn Hallenbeck, former FLPP Council Music Chair, via email
"Congratulations Timothy. This is going to be a treat for Florida Pilgrimage and a 'forward march' for the Council. You are just the man to lead us and 'Make music with the heavens when we shout the name of Jesus'.  Sing, sing, sing, Timothy" - Dotty Guerrera, FLPP Council Member, via email
"Congratulations Tim!  Love that you answered the call!! Perfect fit…." - Diane Wilcox, FLPP Council Member, via email
"Hi Tim!  Thanks so much for considering answering the call to serve Him through your God given talent at FLPP.  You were born for this, and equipped! Should give you some opportunities to network the churches, meet new people and it is not crazy demanding. Your biggest challenge will be to scour up musicians...Yea God. Yea Tim. " - Ann VanDenburgh, FLPP Council Member, via email.

2016 brought two important 25th anniversaries in Central Florida, the Orlando Fringe International Fringe Theatre Festival, which I have been employed to help produce Kids Fringe for five years, and SAK Comedy Lab, which I have proudly worked as an ensemble musician for since 2008.

Throughout the year, I performed in thirteen shows at
SAK Comedy Lab in downtown Orlando, FL including: Brawl for All, Duel of Fools, Gorilla Theatre, Improv Mashup!, Invasion Christmas Carol, King of the Hill, Pepe's Truth or Dare Improv, Rookie Rumble, Scharf & Waldon, The Closers, The Lottery, Throw Down! and we debuted a brand new show Lights Up! An Improvised Rock Opera.

February brought three fun events in central Florida. The "Indie Folk Festival" produced by Genevieve Bernard at the Mennello Museum in Loch Haven Park is a wonderful community tradition, and we hosted many children and families at our Kids Fringe Valentines craft table.

Natalie Dolinger: Trollops, Tyrants and Tarts (Oh My), a cabaret

Trollops, Tyrants, and Tarts (Oh My!) - stories and songs from a checkered career and life. Natalie Doliner takes you through one dorky soprano’s cheerful journey through the trampy, trashy, alto-belty, and sometimes naked-y life she has been surprised to find herself living on and off the wicked stage.

Natalie is joined by a few surprise guests and the Cabaret is directed by Jay Hopkins (director of 6 Guitars, Nashville Hurricane and Well, Since You Asked) with musical direction by Timothy D. Turner and piano accompaniment by John DeHaas.

offerings in downtown Orlando, The Abbey has been cleverly conceived as the ideal mixed-use venue to deliver exciting and diverse live entertainment options on a nightly basis. Situated on the ground floor of the Sanctuary high rise, The Abbey presents everything from concerts and community theater to comedians and cabaret acts.

Ghostlight Theatre Ensemble 2nd Season names Musical Director

8/1/2005

Ghostlight Theatre Ensemble names Timothy, Music Director. "...our personal Superman.  He stepped in a day before we opened & knocked the show out without missing a beat. And as if coming in at the last minute and playing every note flawlessly were not enough, Timothy possesses the uncanny ability to feel the actor’s style of singing and marry his playing to the actor to enhance the song as a whole. In a nutshell, Timothy is incredibly talented, great fun to work with, and tops it all off with a respectable professionalism", says Brandon Roberts, GTE Managing Director. Ghostlight Theatre was formed in November of 2004 by Orlando actors Karla Sue Schultz, Meggin Weaver, and Brandon Roberts.  Perhaps by happenstance, the three of us found ourselves in the right place, at the right time, with the right people.  So, then we needed a name...  A ghostlight is a standing lamp, typically left in the center of the stage once a theatre has closed at the end of the day.  It provides the next person in the theatre a means of seeing their way in the darkness.  This symbol of optimism and encouragement was one that we all feel represents what theatre is to us, and what we hope to bring to everyone with whom we cross paths, onstage and off.
